European Summer School on Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine

Application process

You must complete this application form in one session.

You will be required to upload a CV in PDF format and also a statement from your Supervisor/Group Leader which explains why they think you are suitable to attend this course. 

Applications are assessed on the eligiblity criteria and scientific merit.

It is a competitive process and a maximum of 70 places are allocated each year. 

If you are unsuccessful you can reapply in future years. 

Applications will be opened later this year if and when the UK government allows international travel.

You will be notified whether you have been successful and have been allocated a place by - date TBC.

To accept your place you will have one week to pay for your place.

All payments must be received by - date TBC. 

Any places not accepted by - date TBC will be released to other candidates on the waiting list. 

Payments can only be made by credit/debit card through the online system.

No invoices will be raised and it is not possible to pay by cheque or bank transfer. 

Cancellation is only possible by - date TBC. After this time no refunds will be offered. 

When you confirm your place you will be asked to upload final poster details. Please ensure you have prepared this in advance. You will not be able to supply your poster details at a later date (or change them). 

Hydra XV waiting list 
There is unlikely to be a waiting list in 2022.

Once the main application deadline has closed a waiting list will open. Candidates who were not successful in the original round will be placed on this waiting list as well as anyone who applies late. 

In the event that places become available on the Hydra XV course waiting list applicants will be considered. There is no guarantee that waiting list applicants will be given a place on the course. The latest date that waiting list applicants will be notified is Wednesday 30th June 2021. If you have not been successful in getting a place by this date please apply for next year's Hydra course. 


In the event that a waiting list applicant is successful they will be asked to pay the registration fee and upload additional details such as poster abstracts etc. You will have one week to do so to confirm you place.
